Steep chutes, open powder bowls and Alberta’s best cat skiing! Castle Mountain is tucked in the southwest corner of Alberta surrounded by towering peaks. Castle is known for being dealt massive dumping’s of powder, fifty centimetres a night is not uncommon! Its not a heavy trafficked ski area like some of the others, so no matter how much snow has fallen its guaranteed you’ll be shredding fresh tracks all day. Program Options at Castle

Snowboard Ultimate Plus

On our Ultimate Plus Snowboard Program at Castle you will initially gain your CASI snowboard level 1 certification. You’ll then be available for work in the Castle Ski & Snowboard School where you’ll gain valuable experience teaching snowboard lessons. In addition to instructor work there will be work available to boost your hours on the clock by helping out in different departments on the mountain, such as Lifts, Rentals, Guest Services, Food & Beverage.

The Ultimate Plus Program provides further training through the season towards the CASI snowboard level 2 certification, in addition to other events and activities. This program will give you a great feel for the broader operation of Castle resort plus give you the key ingredients to successfully kick-start your snowboard instructing career! Note: At Castle there will be an option to go Cat Skiing, this is an epic way to experience the back-country and bag some fresh lines close to the resort boundary. You will have access to discounted rates throughout the program.

EA course accommodation is at the Castle Mountain Ski Lodge, located in the heart of Castle Mountain Resort. Roll out of bed, strap on your board and start shredding for the day!

Living at CASTLE MOUNTAIN

Castle’s friendly laid-back atmosphere means you will basically become a local within your first week! After a day of riding fresh powder you will likely end up in the classic T-Bar pub if not at a staff party. “A big bonus is not having to travel miles to the resort each day, you literally live on the mountain”. People are often keen to know how much it costs to buy food so here’s our shopping list run down:
