Course Information

Start Date

Arrival Date 29 May 2023. Runs through late September for full summer season. Late start dates may be available.

The Bike Training

This is focused on making you a better rider, and preparing you for the Level 1 PMBI Exam. You will receive training from experienced local coaches who will help you navigate the local trail network, break down your personal riding skills and mould you into a confident rider. The course is busy with a lot of training but you will also have a few days off to recharge, rest, and work on any bike repairs required.

PMBI Level 1 Exam

After the training you will go through the PMBI Level 1 exam. This is 3 days + pre-course reading and worksheet (2-3hrs), totalling 27 hrs, including assessment. It is designed to both train and assess you both teaching and guiding mountain biking on green and blue (North America) or blue and red (UK/Europe), single-track terrain – to beginner / intermediate students. PMBI is the global industry leader so the certificate is internationally recognised and will be useful wherever you decide to travel to in the future. More about the PMBI here https://pmbia.org/level-1/

More About Revelstoke

The Revelstoke mountain biking scene is legendary for the ease of alpine backcountry access, fun and flowy cross-country mountain biking trails, and downhill mountain biking. Spring and early summer offer lower elevation rainforest trails with tacky dirt and big trees. The RMR Bike Park has gondola access open all summer with both the lower and upper section providing a huge range of trails. RMR Bike Park has put a huge amount of investment into it’s trail network and will now have a total of over 47 kilometres of trails, including green, blue and black trails. Revelstoke is the place to be to really advance your mountain biking and experience true Canadian hospitality.
