What it's like working at

What it's like training in

Mt Hutt

On an EA Ski & Snowboard instructor internship at Mt. Hutt you will live in the ski resort town, Methven.

Your first few weeks will be spent training towards your NZSIA or SBINZ certification. Once you pass your Level 1 exam, you will start working as an instructor at Mt. Hutt ski resort, provided you show professional qualities during the training period and complete the NZSki hiring process. Mt Hutt offers some of the best internal training in New Zealand. You will also have the opportunity to train for your Level 2 qualification. Your job as an instructor will start in time for peak season in early July and will run through until early August. From there, contract extensions are available for those who are doing well and wish to stay, alternatively you can spend the rest of your winter exploring New Zealand and the epic ski terrain on offer.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided for the length of the Level 1 training and exam period. Shared rooms in a clean, warm lodge are provided to ensure a homely environment. Make use of the comfy lounge to unwind and make new friends whilst enjoying a view of Mt Hutt. Further facilities include on-site laundry, a large dining and function room, and just behind the property is a local park featuring a skateboard ramp.

After the level 1 exam you will be able to stay on for the remainder of the season. This will require an advanced rent payment prior to arrival.
