When you join an instructor course in Zermatt you get access to 3 areas: Rothorn, Gornergrat and Matterhorn glacier, as well as access to Cervinia and Valtournenche.

Living and working at Zermatt
Through our Instructor Internship Program at Zermatt Ski Resort, you will receive a job offer teaching for European Snowsport. Training starts in late November leading up to the level one exam prior to Christmas. Over the Christmas and New Year period you will shadow lessons with European Snowsport. Level two training along with your first aid and avalanche course will kick off in January with the level two exam commencing later in the month. Between February and April upon passing your Level 2 certification, there are opportunities to work for the ski school provided you have been successful during the training and exam period.
On our ski instructor course in Zermatt ski resort, training takes place with fully qualified English speaking instructors. Places at our Zermatt ski school are very limited, so please contact us ASAP if you are interested in applying. Zermatt interconnected ski areas are Rothorn, Gornergrat, Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Schwarzsee. Also connected by lift to the Breuil-Cervinia-Valtournenche ski area, this means endless long runs up to 21km long!

What about accommodation?
ES Snowsports School staff typically stay in condos in the Zermatt Village. This is centrally located, 3 and 4 bedroom units that generally accommodate between 5-8 trainees. There may also be a cheaper option to stay in Tasch. Housing arrangements and options will be finalised two to three months prior to the start of the season. On a ski instructor course at Verbier, accommodation is provided for the duration of the training and examination portion of the program. Assistance is provided so that participants can move into alternative chalets in once they commence work.
Our Ski Internship at Zermatt allows you to obtain a globally recognised qualification with the BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) so you can teach beginner to intermediate ski lessons.
BASI formally constituted in 1963, is a UK based membership and its qualification pathway is recognised internationally and BASI is a member of the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA).
