Why Arianne Fell in Love with Mount Hutt and the Kiwi Ski Lifestyle
Her favourite part of the course? Improving her skiing and bonding with everyone else. What she loves most about teaching is seeing that “click” moment in people’s heads when they start to get it — a truly rewarding experience, especially when students take something valuable away from the lesson.
The internship gave her great real-life experience, helping her learn how to handle lessons and apply different teaching techniques. Arianne’s favourite thing about Mount Hutt and Methven is the close-knit ski community, where everyone knows each other. From the top of Mount Hutt, you can see the Canterbury Plains and even catch views of the ocean! A season in Mt Hutt is the very definition of the laidback Kiwi lifestyle.
