Located at the top of the north island in Japan, Appi Kogen has that famous quality dry powder snow and lots of tree runs so it is the perfect location to master your skills. It is a big area with a total of 21 designated courses, and a total piste distance of 43,100m. Appi Kogen is located next to Hachimantai which is famous as Japan’s largest frost-covered tree area at 40 degrees north. The North facing slopes ensure high quality powder snow with low humidity due to the Northerly latitude. The tree skiing zone is substantial with 6 designated areas!

Appi Kogen offers a quiet authentic Japanese experience with cheap staff accommodation just a 5 minute walk to the slopes, discounted meals. It is an epic spot to spend you winter in Japan. A large and growing international ski school will become your new extended family through the season. There are also staff training opportunities towards further certifications available.
At Appi Kogen you will be housed in staff accommodation while on your instructor internship with EA Ski & Snowboard Training. This accommodation is right at the base of the main slope. You couldn’t be closer to work and skiing. You will be in shared dorm style rooms (sharing with 1 or 3 others) with access to shared living rooms. Includes bathrooms and kitchen facilities.
Our Ski and Snowboard Instructor Course in Appi Kogen, Japan allows you to obtain a globally recognised qualification with the NZSIA (New Zealand Ski Instructors Alliance).
The NZSIA is a well-established, educational body that is internationally renowned for producing professional, knowledgeable instructors, who have the capability to teach and ski at very high standards. They are internationally recognised as a well-established, professional provider and have a reputation for high-quality and knowledge. This means that NZSIA instructors are able to competently perform and teach on snow in many cultures and conditions. This qualification can truly take you anywhere.
