The New Zealand winter season starts in June and runs until September or October depending on which ski resort you choose from. Our North Island ski resort, Mt Ruapehu is famous for its massive terrain coming in at 1050 hectares! There are not many places in the world where you can ski fresh powder in the mornings and spend the afternoon/ enjoying the beach or surfing some waves on sunset.
