Of the British Columbia ski resort towns, Revelstoke is the small, but lively, locals town packed with cool little bars and great music scene. You'll meet some gnarly skiers and boarders here! Less touristy than other spots, Revelstoke is a great place to use as a base and travel to other amazing resorts nearby such as Kicking Horse in Golden. As Revelstoke is well known as an iconic freeride destination and generally quite a high level resort, beginner lessons which form the base of work for a first season instructor are a little quieter than some other resorts. As a result you can expect to have good work opportunities during the holiday weeks, with the quieter non-holiday weeks containing a mix of training towards the level 2 and some part time work when available, alongside that epic freeriding experience you're heading there for!
Accommodation for this program is located at Revelstoke's Brand New Staff Accommodation building 'Summit Lodge.'
This is conveniently located right near the Resort base, perfectly located for work, training and free skiing on days off, and is also only a short bus ride from the centre of town.
While the accommodation and rates may vary between seasons the following is usually includes:
This accommodation is covered by EA until the end of the Level 1 exam. After the exam you will be able to stay on for the remainder of the season by paying for your accommodation upfront, directly to Revelstoke Staff Housing. Accommodation costs approximately $650 CAD per month plus a deposit of $375 CAD.
