Big White receives 750cm of light, fluffy powder each year and is known for its deep powder bowls, wide-open glades and long groomed trails. The ski resort has more than 2,700 skiable acres suitable for even the most advanced skiers and powder hunters.

What it's like training in

Big White

Big White is only 45 minutes away from Kelowna, the third largest city in British Columbia offering shopping, restaurants, nightlife for you to enjoy in your free time.

At Big White we have the Ski Instructor Training Course, focused on an intense 10 weeks of training and exams with no work – ideal if you are not eligible for a working holiday visa or simply looking for a non-work based program.

For the 10 week training program participants at Big White looking to gain employment for the following season, the program is considered to be a 10 week opportunity to prove yourself. With a letter of recommendation from your trainer at the end of the course, you will be eligible for a guaranteed job interview with Big White for the following winter season.

Certification Overview

Our Ski Instructor Training Course at Big White, British Columbia, allows you to obtain a globally recognised qualification with CSIA.

The CSIA is an internationally recognised ski association and are the governing bodies for ski instructor qualifications in Canada. The CSIA qualification is highly regarded in the industry and a qualification with the Canadian system will build your technical understanding and allow you to effectively instruct skiing.
