Tūroa Instructor Training Courses Run-Down
Starting this July EA Ski and Snowboard Training are offering a Level 2 instructor internship courses at Tūroa. This course is for Level 1 qualified instructors who are looking to increase their certifications, improve their skiing ability and gain hands on work experience. Work can be available (snow conditions allowing) during the first half of July during the NZ school holiday weeks with part time/casual work available afterwards scheduled around level 2 training. There's also an opportunity to gain work in other departments to increase income for those motivated to do so.
Level 2 Internship Course
Training course requirements:
- Level 1 NZSIA/SBINZ qualification or equivalent
Training course inclusions
- 3 weeks accommodation in the centre of Ohakune
- NZSIA/SBINZ Level 2 Training x16 days
- NZSIA/SBINZ Level 2 Exam Fee
- Association memberships
- Training manuals and materials
- Technical skill development
- On snow analysis
- Staff season pass
- Access to staff transport
- Avalanche Safety Course
- First Aid
$7975 USD, or $5975 USD if you've done a level 1 course with us previously.
To qualify for this internship course you will need to be currently level 1 certified (NZSIA or equivalent). The things you need to consider are your flights, insurance and also your equipment.
