Dreaming of endless winters? Learn about these 10 epic ski resorts!
Chasing face shots in Japan, long groomers in the Rockies, or backcountry laps in the Southern Laps of New Zealand - these 10 epic resorts are where EA Ski and Snowboard Training interns have turned their passion for riding into the best job on the planet.
Here’s a look at where you could be living, riding, and teaching next season.
CANADA
1. Revelstoke – Get revved up and stoked in Revy
Steep and deep lines, top notch pow, and a real mountain-town community. Revelstoke is the spot. The town’s small, but that’s the magic — real people, real mountains, and a pace of life that makes you want to stay. It’s a free-rider’s dream— and the perfect training ground for those who want to push their limits on the mountain. Revelstoke is one of the most legendary mountains in the world!
🎿 Wilf rocked up as an intermediate skier and left as a certified instructor dropping into vertical chutes. “Revy changed everything,” he says. “I found my crew, levelled up my skiing with 98 days on snow, and now I get paid to do what I love.”
2. Lake Louise – Iconic Views, Beautiful National Parks
Big mountains, big energy. Lake Louise delivers all-time terrain and that iconic Banff National Park backdrop. With 4,200 acres of terrain, 164 runs, and puking snow, it's a no-brainer why Lake Louise was voted Canada's top ski resort. Whether you're carving through deep powder or catching the sunrise over the Rockies, every day feels like a postcard.
🏂 Jason came here from on a career break to chase adventure. “Every day I’d ride to work through the most beautiful scenery imaginable,” he says. “The crew, the snow, the nature— I didn’t want the season to end.”
3. Cypress Mountain – City Meets Mountain Life
Pow laps in the morning, city nights in Vancouver. Cypress gives you the best of both worlds. You’ll teach beginners by day and catch live music with your crew by night in one of the most exciting and adventurous cities in the world.

NEW ZEALAND
4. Queenstown – The Adventure Capital of the world
Queenstown is the ultimate playground. From The Remarkable's to Coronet Peak, steep chutes, endless backcountry options, amazing rock climbing, moutnain biking, and hikes in huts under the stars, this place is special.
🏂 Ash hailing from Sydney, broke away from the typical Aussie lifestyle - she traded her surfboard and the beach for a snowboard and mountains. Ash is all in! She's building a life full of stoke, connection, and purpose.
“I spend my time chasing winter year-round, bouncing between the Northern and Southern hemispheres, and honestly, I’m just out here having a rad time doing what I love. Queenstown is where my heart is. The lifestyle, the people, the riding — it’s my favourite place to shred, hands down. My ultimate goal is to become a strong, positive female role model in snow-sports — especially for all the girls out there dreaming of getting into the industry”

5. Mt Hutt – Big Lines, Tight Crew
Mt Hutt is raw, real, and 100% Kiwi. You can see the ocean from the top and the Canterbury plains. It’s home to wide-open faces, and one seriously tight instructor community. This is the kiwi lifestyle at its best.

JAPAN
6. Niseko – Lightest powder in the world
The undisputed powder capital of the world. In Niseko the taps are always on—storms roll in one after another, delivering consistent, profoundly deep snow. It’s otherworldly. Shredding bottomless, waist-deep champagne powder in Hokkaido’s mountains is what we all chase. It’s like riding on a mountain of whipped cream!
❄️ Tom Sharpe spent his winter in the far north.
“When you hear about Niseko, it’s almost as if it’s some faraway magical land that has bottomless snow where people only eat onigiri (sushi triangles) and ride endless powder days! I can attest, the rumours are true! People say everything is better in Japan - and they’re right! Travelling Japan is eye-opening for all, and that’s why it’s on everyone’s bucket list, and if it isn’t put it there! Japan will stagger you with something unique wherever you look, it almost feels impossible how dissimilar it is to home” Niseko is a melting pot of cultures, languages, and stories. I hope you’re fired up about riding in Japan!"

7. Nozawa Onsen – Authentic Japan, Peaceful, Zen, Hot Springs
Traditional village. Onsens. Snow monkeys. World-class snow. Nozawa Onsen is where ancient culture and tranquility meets modern stoke. Here you can even boil your egg on an onsen on your way to work at the ski field.
🎿 Claudia fell in love with the rhythm of life here - teaching, riding, then soaking in hot springs. “It’s something truly special,” she says.
“Life was simple, yet the most fun I’ve ever had! I loved the feeling of using my body all day, helping people find the magic in skiing. Living in the small village meant I could keep going back to my favourite local coffee shop, get a membership at the local bouldering gym, and make connections that are harder to do as a tourist passing through. The culture of Japan shone through, and I quickly got used to having regular onsen's after a day of skiing, alongside the local women who loved to have the temperature as high as possible! I couldn’t recommend this experience enough, it gave me a lot more confidence, independence and most importantly, I had the time of my life!”

8. Shiga Kogen – Japans Hidden Gem
Shiga is where adventure meets stillness. Ride harder than ever, then sit in silence as snow falls outside an ancient wooden bathhouse. If you’re after quiet slopes, deep pow, and authentic Japan, Shiga Kogen is the move. It’s one of the biggest resorts in Asia — yet it still feels local and untouched. Life here is pure and peaceful, with beautiful temples and onsen that are over a thousand years old.
Felix called his season here “living the dream.” Between teaching kids, smashing ramen, slapping yennies in the vending machine, and chasing powder days, it doesn’t get much better.
USA
9. Northstar, Lake Tahoe – California Dreaming
Sunshine, lake views, and cruisey Californian vibes — Northstar is all-time. Perfect groomers, playful terrain parks, and a buzzing instructor crew make this a U.S. favourite. Here you can also explore national parks, go rock climbing, and when the season wraps, grab a kombi with your crew and hit the coast — Beach Boys on full blast.

From Shane McConkey’s fearless lines to the free-ride crew still pushing limits today, this place defines ski culture. It gained fame through ski films like G.N.A.R. Palisades delivers adventure on every level.
