Living and working at Verbier
You will work and train with Adrenaline Ski School Verbier. Adrenaline, one of the longest running ski schools in the area, is owned and operated by experienced locals.
When you join EA on an instructor internship in Verbier, you will receive a job offer to work in Adrenaline Ski School as well as a full Four Valleys Season staff ski pass. All interns who complete their Level One exam and can ski to an acceptable standard will receive an instructor job offer. Once you begin work, work levels can vary depending on seasonal demand - it's generally busier during the holiday periods (e.g Christmas, New Year and February school holidays) with January and March being much quieter. You will be expected to shadow lessons during quieter periods of no work is available for you. Due to the quieter work periods, it's important that you have financial support during these periods or you can find a second job to supplement your income.
Approximate pay rates for ski instructing in your first year are 18 Swiss Francs per hour. However, as with any ski school, there is no guarantee of hours over the season as it can vary with snow and ski lesson demand. It’s not a cheap town, but once you are settled in and know where the local hangouts are you will be able to find the best deals, and an instructor uniform can help.
