EA has partnered with Adrenaline Verbier because it is one of the longest running ski schools in the area and is owned and operated by an experienced local Swiss, so they know the area and the business better than anyone. All interns will be taking ski lessons in Adrenaline Ski School before Christmas time. If successful on your level 1 exam and skiing to a standard acceptable by Adrenaline you will start coaching lessons (in English) to a range of clients but mostly to children. As it is a large ski school you have the opportunity to learn a lot during the season and also take on more opportunities, all while enjoying off-piste skiing.
Approximate pay rates for ski instructing in your first year are 18 Swiss Francs per hour, however, as with any ski school, there is no guarantee of hours over the season as it can vary with snow and ski lesson demand. In the past years, the price of food and drink in Verbier is standard for a ski resort. It’s not cheap, but once you are settled in and know where the local hangouts are you will be able to find the best deals, and an instructor uniform can help! As a guide here are a few examples: Small beer £3, a half litre of house wine £10, coffee £3, pizza £15.
