Celebrating the 2023/24 EA Ski & Snowboard Training Winter Season.
Spring has sprung in New Zealand, which means we are about to put a bow on the 2023/2024 ski season. We wanted to take a moment to share some of the epic stuff our interns got up to this year.
Recently we have seen puking snow in the Southern Hemisphere of New Zealand and even 55cm of pow in the Swiss Alps! It has been a ski season with tonnes of good times, experiences shared, and friends made for life. And we sent out a whole new bunch of qualified ski and snowboard instructors into the world yeowww!
Over the last few months, we ran a series of competitions for our interns to send in pictures and videos from their season. Here are some of the best from each resort…

Tom Instructor Story | Japan
A winter in Japan is the perfect blend of exhilaration and peacefulness. In what other place in the world can you have a morning onsen, vending machine coffee, snowboard blissful pockets of pow, go bouldering, and finish the day in a foot onsen, beer in hand beside your friends overlooking the mountains. Watch Tom’s winter edit below
Claudia | Japan
“I worked with and taught people from all across the world, and made life long friends. Life was simple, yet the most fun I’ve ever had! I loved the feeling of using my body all day, helping people find the magic in skiing and snowboarding. Living in the small village meant I could keep going back to my favourite local coffee shop, get a membership at the local bouldering gym, and make connections that are harder to do as a tourist passing through. The culture of Japan shone through, and I quickly got used to having regular onsens after a day of skiing, alongside the local women who loved to have the temperature as high as possible! I couldn’t recommend this experience enough, it gave me a lot more confidence, independence and most importantly, I had the time of my life!”
Flavia | Turoa , New Zealand
Flavia decided to move to New Zealand to fulfil her dream of becoming a ski instructor. She lived in a place renowned for its carrots, skied on a volcano, and lived in a town with only two pubs. She had a true kiwi experience and now plans to work in the Swiss Alps.
Alex Noyola | Queenstown, New Zealand
Alex absolutely shredding the midline at Remarkables!
That's a wrap! Cheers for the epic winter and everyone involved to make it one for the books. Let's bring on the next winter and keep on living the dream
