Here is a course diary update fresh from EA's Ski Instructor Course in Japan from Jock Robinson;
"EA Ski and Snowboard Training have a well-structured program that provides a surreal way to meet new people, have the time of your life and most importantly, become a qualified ski instructor!
I signed up for the Japan Ski Internship during the 2012/2013 season and wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into. It wasn't long before these doubts were forgotten and I began making friends that I know I will never lose touch with.
EA Ski and Snowboard set us up with two professional trainers who really knew their stuff. They trained us for two weeks and everyone's skiing improved out of sight. I have always been more of a snowboarder and while my skiing wasn't terrible, the training ensured I was ready for the exam. If you are worried about not being a good enough skier, don't! You will succeed in the program as long as you listen and make the improvements your trainers ask of you.
Once qualified EA provided me with a guaranteed job offer. Days after my exam I was being paid to do what I loved. This is one of the huge perks of the EA program as jobs in the ski industry are difficult to get without prior experience. This program gets you qualified and experienced in one season. Awesome!
Japan as a location to do the course is also an awesome choice. The powder is amazing, dare I say magical. One night we had 45cm and during the day another 40cm fell. There was so much snow we were getting fresh tracks every run all day, in 80cm of powder. This was the best day skiing of my life and we did amazing runs through the trees that I just cannot describe. It was incredible!
The season has now come to a close for me and I have returned home to Australia. I had the most amazing time in Japan and would recommend the same path to anyone who has even the slightest interest in the program. EA provides a great way to become qualified and have fun in the snow. It's a magical adventure and one I would recommend to anyone and everyone."
Sound amazing?
